Metro Fire Sprinkler Services, Inc. was incorporated in July of 1984. The company is owned and operated by Phillip L. Paris and Ron C. Lee, both residents of Martin County. Both Phillip and Ron are active in the company on a daily basis, and are also partnered with Douglas K. Crawford in our subsidiary firm; known as Metro Fire Protection Services, Inc. Company management, general administration, field supervision, job estimating, engineering, and inspection functions all fall within their areas of responsibility. All three owners are licensed by the State of Florida as Fire Protection Contractors. Phillip currently holds a Class I Fire Protection Contractors License. Additionally, Ron and Doug currently hold Class II Fire Protection Licenses.
Phillip and Ron possess almost fifty-five years of combined fire sprinkler experience. Both make a conscientious effort to pass along their experience and knowledge to all of their field personnel and inspection staff through close supervision and on-going training. In August of 2006, one of the Metro Fire Protection Services corporate principals, Douglas K. Crawford, also activated his Class II Fire Protection license, and has subsequently added his twenty-five years of live-fire suppression, code enforcement, and life safety experience.
In addition to normal contract operations, the Metro Team offers twenty-four hour emergency service, thorough code compliant water based inspection, testing, and maintenance programs as well as backflow preventer testing, certification, and repair. Also available is a full line of fire pump inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair programs.
Newly implemented in 2004, Metro Fire Protection Services, Inc. is now licensed to deliver and provide a full array of chemical and water-based fire suppression systems. In addition to portable fire extinguishers, this Fire Suppression Service Branch is fully licensed in-house, and is capable of servicing restaurant hoods, paint spray booths, hydrostatic testing of cylinders, as well as halon delivery systems. Exit lighting and other life safety services are also part of our new team's repertoire.
Both companies operate out of Contractor's Showcase in Stuart, Florida, where eight separate bays accommodate the administrative and engineering offices, as well as a full service pre-fabrication facility. Company licenses are currently held in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Okeechobee, and Indian River Counties.
The inspection routing and reporting database is managed with the latest version of OnSite Software. Metro's accounting and business activities are handled through the most current QuickBooks product, known as Quickbooks Contractor Edition 7.0, and our computer aided fire sprinkler design is augmented by the most current M.E.P.CAD design product, known as AutoSprink. Our fire sprinkler service department utilizes ESC routing and job-tracking software, and our fire suppression technicians also utilize a palm pilot based routing and tracking software program known as "Inquest" (software produced and distributed by Technosoft).
